Flooded homes. Damaged properties. Impassable roads. These were just some of the actual sights that greeted the relief team last August 18, 2018. The recent typhoon still lingers with an aftereffect that left residents with a hopeful thought that help will come.
Answering their call, PMFTC through its Embrace program gave six barangays of Malolos, Bulacan food packs that contained rice, canned goods and noodles. Among these barangays were: Sto. Rosario, Paombong, Sto Cristo, Santor, Balayong and Balite. The initial distribution was able to serve 180 families.
“Salamat sa Embrace at kahit papaano natulungan kaming nangangailangan.” One resident emphasized upon receiving the food packs. She added that at times like this, any amount of help will be very much appreciated.
The relief activity was a partnered activity between Embrace and the different Barangay Local Government Units (BLGUs) of Malolos, Bulacan which share the same purpose—extending help to those in need.
