Aiming to provide assistance to vulnerable communities, EMBRACE program in partnership with the Jaime V. Ongpin Foundation, provided food packs to fire victims in Barangay Pag-asa, Quezon City last February 10, 2019.
The fire incident transpired a day before the activity, February 9, 2019 in Barangay Pag-asa, Quezon City. Despite the initial help from its local barangay, residents were still left with damaged homes.
A never ending gratitude was expressed by the victims who received the items. “Thank you for the donation you have provided us. This will surely be of great help to us,” mentioned by Rosa Cabarles, one of the beneficiaries.
The activity was in partnership with 4Ks “Kaisa sa Karapatan at Katatagan tungo sa Kinabukasan” Task Force for SOLO (Pag-asa Chapter), a Non-Governmental Organization focused on the advocacy of championing the cause of solo parents based on the provisions of RA 8972, otherwise known as the “Solo Parents’ Welfare Act of 2000”.
