Linseed Field Power Corporation will operate the country’s first liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal and will supply Kepco Ilijan Corporation, a 1,200 megawatt combined cycle power plant, and the Excellent Energy Resources Inc., a unit of SMC Global Power Holdings Inc., which is building a 1,700-megawatt combined cycle power plant in the adjacent barangay. The Linseed Field LNG terminal was established to ensure power supply and anticipates the drying up of the Malampaya wells.
During the courtesy calls, they touched on the project’s objectives which are first, to identify the socio-economic profile of barangay Ilijan through surveys, focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and review of secondary data. Second, conduct a stakeholder present and validate the socio-economic profile with the community, key stakeholders, and company representatives. And fourth, formulate a strategic plan for the company’s social development program.
