On empowering MF clients: 10th Annual General Assembly held


Our clients never failed to inspire us!

As a tribute to our clients who believe in the Foundation’s enterprise development program, the tenth annual general assembly was held at the PFVR gymnasium on December 15, 2015.

With 352 Microfinance clients convened, the activity commenced with a training on disaster preparedness delivered in a lively manner by JVOFI Training Facilitator, Carlo Racelis.

Competitions on slogan/theme-making, poster/banner design, and group presentations were organized that extracted participant’s creativity and teamwork. Model microfinance clients served as judges.

Eloisa Wakit was adjudged the champion in slogan-making with her statement: “Providing opportunities can bring out the best in people and with the abundance of talents and skills. Microfinance serves as the cornerstone in achieving social change.”

On the other hand, clients from Camp 6, Tuba, Benguet won the best poster/banner design making. “JVOFI isn’t just a path out of poverty. It is the road to self-reliance. Through team-up, poverty can be alleviated on the global scale,” was their banner content.

For the group-presentations, JVO Blears landed first place while Suyoc Mothers group placed second. Both teams showcased graceful dance routine.

Further, lucky winners of major prizes for the conducted raffle draw brought home whirlpool refrigerator, Skyworth Led TV, Oppo Cellphone, Charcoal stove. Ten special prize winners were given MyPhone Cellphone with sim card each. Consolation prize items included 10 pcs. Hanabishi Electric Kettle, 5 pcs Nikon Small Appliances, 10 pcs. 1084 Dowell Single burner gas stove, 5 pcs. American Home Rice cooker, 5 pcs. Hanabishi Oven Toaster, and 10 pcs.
