A Project Proposal Writing training was conducted among officers from different farmer cooperatives in Candon last August 28-29, 2014.
The training aims to help cooperatives define their purpose and become more effective in managing their cooperatives. It included a brainstorming session on possible projects that can be carried out in their respective cooperatives.
On the onset, participants were given tips on writing project proposals, budgeting, and fund raising. They were also required to come up with ideas and concepts, the first step in writing a project proposal.
Other topics taught were sourcing and usage of funds, and formulation of project objectives. Participants were likewise oriented on some guidelines on how to present proposals to prospective partners and funding agencies.
The activity is the first of a series of trainings to be conducted until December this year.
